Welcome to Eastern Taranaki Experience (ETE) and Stratford Heritage Lodge. ETE has been operating since September 2001, and is now "Qualmark Visitor Activity Endorsed" and winner of 2005 & 2007 Taranaki Tourism Awards.
Your hosts, Dave and Carol Digby, have 30 years tramping experience between them. Dave was Stratford Tramping Club's president for 13 years and is their current Club Captain. He is also chairman of South Taranaki Forest and Bird. Carol is also on both committees. In addition Dave has been appointed to Taranaki / Whanganui Conservation Board twice, as Mountain Outdoor Leader qualified and Honorary Ranger for DOC. All of which offer fantastic backup and support.
