Matemateaonga Track Transport:
Using an old settler dray road, you are able to penetrate deep into the wilderness of Whanganui National Park. The 42km track, in native bush, is usually tramped in 3 or 4 days. The 3 huts on the track are category 2 (ie require 2 hut passes per night). Annual passes can be used. A lot of people look walking this track then flag the idea because of the transport and arrangements required.
